Next Generation Active Denial Technology Roadmap Update
Active Denial Technology (ADT) provides warfighters the capability of stopping and repelling individuals with minimal risk of injury using W-Band directed energy. Solid-State Active Denial Technology (SS-ADT) enables smaller size, lighter weight, and more operationally suitable active denial systems. Tube-based W-band sources provide higher power and thus could be cost effective for longer-range applications. This brief will provide an overview of the technology roadmap of next generation ADT which will enable integration on various platforms and provide multi-mission operations to address Gray Zone competition while remaining below the threshold of armed conflict.
