Chip-scale Phased Array LiDAR for 4D Imaging

Traditionally using mechanical scanning, LiDAR capabilities have previously required systems too large and fragile for integration on to smaller platforms.
Using our fully solid-state technology to enable chip-scale low-SWaP devices, we have developed a 9000-antenna optical phased array operating in the near infrared optical wavelengths. This is integrated into a 4D imaging LiDAR with more than 100 m range, cm-scale range resolution, and cm/s-scale velocity sensing.
We present test results from our current development efforts, near-term standalone module SWaP estimates, and potential future capabilities that could be achieved using our technology.
