Symposium Overview

The theme for the 2026 Systems Symposium is

"From Prototype to Arsenal: Delivering Directed Energy Capability to the Warfighter"

Systems Symposium brings together leaders, operators, and technical experts to explore the realities of transitioning DE technologies into operational use. Gain exclusive insight into the requirements, decisions, and challenges that shape deployment readiness. With focused sessions and high-level access, this event equips you to accelerate real-world transition.

Location: Hyatt Regency Hotel, 1 Old Golf Course Road, Monterey, California

Restrictions: Attendance at the Directed Energy Systems Symposium and its short courses is limited to U.S. citizens who are employees of the U.S. Government or its contractors and who hold the necessary security clearance and/or need-to-know. All sessions of the Systems Symposium have participation requirements and will include a mix of unclassified and classified sessions. The highest level of classified information to be presented at the 2026 DE Systems Symposium will be SECRET/NOFORN.

Room Block: A DEPS room block is being arranged at the Hyatt Regency. The reservation link will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Call for Papers: The Call for Papers opens August 17th and the proposed timeline, subject to change, is listed here. When the new site launches, current users will be asked to update their password and verify their account information as part of enhanced security improvements. They can then submit their abstracts for consideration.

Short Courses: Our planning committee is curating a list of relevant professional development courses to enhance your experience at the Systems Symposium. Full-day and Half-day courses will be offered on Monday, 16 November at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Registration: Event registration will open in September. We encourage early registration to secure discounted rates and assist our planning team. You may easily register early and return later to complete payment through your user account.
