A Farewell to our DEPS Team Leader
The Directed Energy Professional Society’s Board of Directors would like to thank Harry
Sinsheimer for serving as the Executive Director over the past year. He was instrumental in
negotiating and establishing a new, updated, Grant with the Joint Directed Energy Transition Office.
Harry successfully ran the three major conferences in his time as the Executive Director.
In doing this, he also managed the challenges associated with co-locating the Joint Directed Energy
Transition Office Technical Reviews with the Twenty-Sixth Annual Directed Energy Science & Technology
Symposium as well as the Nineteenth Directed Energy Systems Symposium.
The Board of Directors would like to recognize Harry Sinsheimer’s 30-year career in the Directed
Energy Community, spanning work for the US Air Force, the Missile Defense Agency, the High Energy
Laser Technology Office, culminating with his time at the Directed Energy Professional Society.
We wish him a happy, relaxing and enjoyable retirement.
The Board of Director’s is beginning the process to identify the next Executive Director of DEPS.
