AI-Enhanced Directed Energy Decision Aid Module for Battle Management Systems

The introduction of Directed Energy Weapon Systems (DEWS) in the Missile Defense System further complicates the weapon selection process for Combatant Commanders. These non-kinetic weapons offer effective, low-cost-per-shot alternatives to traditional kinetic weapon systems. However, the efficiency of DE systems can be affected by various atmospheric and weather conditions resulting in uncertainty in the weapon selection process in complex battlefield scenarios. To combat this, MZA Associates Corporation has introduced an AI decision aid module capable of predicting the effectiveness of DE systems in real-time based on current atmospheric conditions. These predictions allow for rapid scoring of engagement efficacy for multiple Directed Energy Weapons on live target detections aiding Battle Management Commanders in the weapon selection process.
