Pk Determination for High Energy Laser Weapon Systems
As HEL weapons move towards fielding, integration and effective use of these weapons will require algorithms that integrate with kinetic energy weapons and high power microwaves so as to enable optimum performance. An accurate Pk will require not only an accurate understanding of target vulnerability but an accurate understanding of HEL weapon capability. The test and evaluation process provides an excellent opportunity to obtain the data required to develop the algorithms required for Pk determination. Requirements are described for the appropriate data collection.
