Fees & Registration SSDLTR 2010 continues its mission to be the premier technical meeting for the DoD high power solid state laser community. The SSDLTR brings together researchers and managers from government, contractor, and university settings for the exchange of ideas relating to the development of high power bulk solid state, fiber, and semiconductor laser systems and related technologies.
The SSDLTR is one of three conferences as part of the Advanced High-Power Lasers Review. Registrants who meet the participation criteria will be able to attend sessions of either meeting for a single registration fee. There will be a public release joint technical session available to all attendees of the Advanced High-Power Lasers meeting. Highlights
Call for Papers Contributions are solicited for presentation at SSDLTR from all areas relevant to the development of high power solid state lasers for DoD applications. The SSDLTR committee will select contributions for inclusion in the technical program based on submitted abstracts. All contributors of public release presentations must write a paper and have it cleared for public release at least 40 days prior to the conference (6 May 2010) so it can be published in the SSDLTR Technical Digest. The SSDLTR will accept presentations at the Public Release and Limited Distribution (C) levels. All authors will be required to obtain appropriate approval to present in the relevant format. Please allow plenty of time for the approval process. Authors may choose to include their presentation in the public release or limited distribution proceedings. Abstracts A completed Abstract Release Form is required for all abstracts and should be faxed to 866-338-0967 or submitted by mail to the DEPS address below. Abstracts without release forms will not be included in the published proceedings. Directed Energy Professional Society The program committee will inform authors by 19 February 2010 if their contributions are selected for inclusion in the technical program. Instructions for submitting presentations and papers will be available by 12 March 2010. Papers Papers must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document and contained in a single file. The file must be named "Lastname.doc" (e.g., Smith.doc) and filesize must be less than 5 MB. Papers must be cleared for public release and a completed Paper Release Form is due at the same time. The release form should be faxed to 1-866-338-0967 or submitted by mail to the DEPS address given above, attention: Carolyn Bowman. Papers without the necessary release form will not be published in the SSDLTR Technical Digest. Formatting Guidelines
Things to avoid: The attached paper is provided as a sample of correct formatting. Presentations Submit unclassified, public release presentations to ssdltr@hotmail.com to be received by 7 June. Hand carry Limited Distribution presentations and give to chair person at speaker’s breakfast. Release forms are required for all materials submitted to the SSDLTR. No presentations will be permitted without the appropriate release form, nor will materials be published in the SSDLTR Technical Disgest or in the Conference Proceedings. Fully completed and signed forms should be faxed to 866-338-0967 or submitted by mail to the DEPS address below. Note that poster papers are considered presentations and the presentation release form should be used in those cases.
Note that it is the responsibility of the lead author to obtain all approvals and releases for their abstract, presentation, and/or paper.
