additional cost. Single-day registration options are available under certain conditions. Please contact
Raheela Bokhari in the DEPS office to inquire.
Short course registrations include student materials, refreshments, and Continuous Learning Point (CLP) credits
for successful students. Morning courses include breakfast snacks and a box lunch is provided to those attending afternoon courses.
Two half-day courses can be selected for the price of a full-day course. Short courses can be purchased separate from your
Conference registration by using a form that will be available here soon.
(1)Government registration fees are valid for Federal or State Government employees and
include participation in all Symposium sessions for which the attendee qualifies, evening Exhibitor reception,
lunch Tuesday through Thursday and proceedings. Breakfasts are not included with the government registration;
however, they will be available as an additional separate purchase.
(2) Esteemed Leaders are retired DEPS members willing to volunteer for 2 half days of service as well as attend the Roundtable Reception.
In exchange for their help in putting on a successful program we can offer a reduced rate for their attendance to the overall
symposium. Please contact cynnamon@deps.org for more information.
(3) Full-time students will be admitted at no charge provided they (1) attend the DE Student Workshop and are
presenting at either the Symposium or the Workshop, and/or (2) agree to assist DEPS staff for a half day of service, such
as operating computers in the technical sessions or door-guarding. All other students will be required to pay the full registration fee.
Note that short courses are free for all student registrants regardless of their volunteer/presenter status.
Registration for the event will be available here soon. Please check back.
Persons requesting cancellation through 14 April will receive a full refund. Cancellations after
14 April are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for short courses after
5 May or for the event after 9 May.
Companions
Companions are always a welcome addition to any DEPS meeting. To encourage them,
we offer companion meal options at an additional cost. Our full meal option includes all meals that are provided for
regular attendees including any evening and specialty functions that may be planned. For those companions who do not want to be tied to
scheduled meal functions, we also offer a reception only option which includes only the Tuesday evening reception.
Companion tickets will be available for purchase once registration opens, and
can be purchased either with your symposium registration (below) or separately using
a companion registration form, which will be made available here soon.
Roundtable Reception
The DEPS Roundtable Reception* is designed to give students and early career professionals (ECPs) the opportunity to network and connect with some of
directed energy's esteemed leaders. Whether you are currently on the job hunt, seeking advice about professional growth, or simply hoping to learn about
possible career paths, this event is an excellent opportunity to expand both your knowledge base and your network of contacts.
This year's reception will be held Monday, May 12 from 1730-1900 at symposium hotel. Don't miss your chance to exchange ideas
and critically engage with fellow academics and the esteemed leaders of the DE community.
*Please note, this reception is limited to current students and early career professionals only.
Appetizers and 1 drink ticket (must be 21 or older) will be provided to attendees.
Security
The 2025 DEPS Annual S&T Conference will be composed of unclassified and limited
distribution (CUI) sessions. The plenary session and exhibitor's reception will be open to all
attendees, while the parallel technical sessions will be held at the open and limited
distribution (CUI) levels.
Please note that CUI sessions, while unclassified, restrict participation to U.S. citizens who are employees of the U.S. Federal
Government or its contractors (Distribution C), or employees of the Department of Defense or its contractors (Distribution D).
If you do not meet this requirement, you will be unable to attend these sessions.*
Attendees without security clearances or need-to-know may only attend the public-release (Distribution A)
sessions and/or short courses.
Note that a picture ID will be required at check-in and upon entry into the CUI sessions.
Videotaping, photography, and audio recording of any
session at this meeting is prohibited.

sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information or any other reason unrelated to technical merit.
Harassment and discrimination are a serious form of misconduct which undermines the integrity of DEPS activities.
